In the software: none

SkyeWriter contains no artificial intelligence. There is no model inside it, no service behind it, and no feature that sends your text anywhere to be completed, summarised or corrected. Spell checking uses the checker built into your operating system, on your machine. Hyphenation uses dictionaries that ship with the program. In ordinary use SkyeWriter makes no network connection at all.

If an AI feature is ever added, it will run on your own machine, it will be off until you turn it on, and it will be described on this page before it ships.

In the apps: none

OhanaLog, FurFamilyLog, 11% Rebate Capture and Recoup contain no AI. Their Android editions declare no internet permission, so there is nowhere for anything to go.

In support: a person

Support mail is read and answered by the person who wrote the software. No AI answers on our behalf.

In building it: Claude, openly

SkyeWriter was designed and directed by Matthew Emmett Townsend and written with Claude, Anthropic’s AI, working as a collaborator at his desk. Much of the code was drafted by Claude to his instruction. Every layout rule in it was then measured against Microsoft Word’s own rendering rather than taken on trust, and the verification record that reports those measurements is generated by the program itself, so it cannot drift from the code it describes. The design, the decisions and the responsibility for the result are his.

The copy on these pages was drafted with Claude and read, corrected and approved by Matthew before publication. Every figure on the site is a measurement on a stated date, and every promise is one he has decided to keep.

In the books

Lexington Road Press, the book imprint of the same company, discloses AI collaboration on the copyright page of each title, book by book.

Why say so

Because a reader deciding whether to trust a page deserves to know how it was made, and because the claim that matters here is not who typed the code but whether the page it lays out is the page Word lays out. That claim is measured, and the measurements are on the specification page.
